Ras Laffan Utilization Project – Qatar

Scope of work :
The scope of this project is the supply, testing, and commissioning of the following, for
Qatar Petroleum, Ras Laffan area:

a. The complete 11 KV Power Distribution System. This includes the new 11 KV switchgear to be connected to the existing 33/11KV substation, and the distribution to 9 new 11KV/415V package substations and existing package substations. The network includes 22,000m of 11 KV cables 3x300 mm².

b. The building services for 8 new buildings including the 4-storey main office building, Marine Warehouse, FSO/Marine Workshop, Drilling Workshop, Berth office building, Telecom Building, 11KV switchgear building and new gate house. The services included the power distribution, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, addressable fire alarm system including aspirating type high sensitivity smoke detection system (HSSD), and telecom system.

c. 6 Diesel generators with synchronization panels of sizes up to 1000 KVA.

d. External sewage pumping stations and piping, including Power Distribution and PLC control system.

e. 2 nos. Diesel tanks of 750 m² capacity including diesel piping to connect to 7 new tanker berths, and 3 existing ones.

f. Diesel Control System including tank gauging, PLC control system, Diesel inventory control, and SCADA system.

g. External area lighting and street lighting including 25 m lighting towers and 12, 10, and 5 meter light poles.

h. Telecommunication systems including Marine Radio System, fiber-optic transmission system, Public Address/General Alarm System, PABX, telephone and
intercom systems.

i. External fire alarm system including, flame detection system for diesel pump areas, and 7 new tanker berths.

j. External potable water piping system.

Project 2

Refurbishment of Station “D” Desalination Plant at Jebel Ali.

Scope of work :
The refurbishment of Station “D” Desalination plant at Jebel Ali including dismantling and replacement of components, removal of insulation and cleaning of surface execution of prefabrication, including the rolling of plate for the construction of materials from steel plates, erection & testing including the retubing. Assistance to the supplier for the activities relevant to
the sponge ball cleaning system. Execution of repairing works including the replacement wherever required. Mechanical works, Electrical & Instrumentation works.

Project 3

Contract No.CON-MAC-026-94- Rectification to Cathodic Protection Systems, Das Island

Scope of work :
The design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the cathodic protection system
upgrading for the whole ADGAS LNG Plant. Impressed current as well as sacrificial type anodes were used. Anodes were installled both on land and underwater. The scope included civil, electrical and mechanical works.

Project 4

Mogas Marine Loading Line, U.A.N. Contract No.337.94.44

Scope of work :
Supply, Installation Testing and Commissioning of 4700 meters of 14” dia. Steel pipeline from Umm Al Nar Jetty to ADNOC F.O.D. Line operating pressure is 18.3 barg.@85 Deg. C. The scope include all piping and related valves and instrumentation, pipe painting and related civil works.
